Travel between Energy House Lab facilities

The University campus spans multiple locations. If you are confirmed to visit more than one facility, please read the below information:

  • The maximum distance between any two of our facilities is half a mile (approximately 10 minutes’ walk), with some only five minutes’ walk between them. The full route between all facilities is approximately 15 minutes’ walk.
  • The routes between all facilities are paved and mostly flat. There are a couple of places on campus which have gentle inclines, including a pedestrian footbridge over the railway lines. Each of these are accessible via ramps/paths for wheelchair users, with some also having steps with handrails. The paths are wide enough for wheelchair users, although there are some narrower sections.
  • All road crossings have pedestrian lights, with the exception of the road outside Salford Smart Home (University Road).
  • The routes between buildings are not sheltered, so please dress for the outdoor weather.
