Smart Meters>Smart Homes Lab
Ioannis is the Smart Meters > Smart Homes (SMSH) lab lead also holding one of the University’s Fellowships. The SMSH lab, since its launch in 2018, has been industry-faced partnered with prominent digital energy companies, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Energy Suppliers. Ioannis has led & participated in several projects most of them focusing on energy data analytics, energy flexibility, Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS), estimation of domestic buildings’ Heat Transfer Coefficient (HTC). Ioannis is a contributor of IEA’s Annex 96 on Grid Integrated Control of Buildings and Associate Editor of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Smart Cities journal. He is also Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Chartered Mathematician (CMath).
